Duties:
(Notes on the duties of officers and committees...)

 

Duties of Officers: Article IV (As taken directly from our Constitution and Bylaws)

  1. The President shall preside at all meetings of this club, and conduct them according to the rules adopted. He/she shall enforce due observance of this constitution and By-Law; decide all questions of order; sign all official documents adopted by the club; appoint trustees and committee chairmen in accordance with the By-Laws, and perform all other duties pertaining to the office of President.
  2. The Vice-President shall assume all the duties of the President in his/her absence.
  3. The Secretary shall keep a record of the proceedings of all meetings, carry on official correspondence, read communications at each meeting, and mail written notices to each member when such notices are required.
  4. The Treasurer shall receive and receipt for all monies paid to the club; submit membership applications; keep a roll of members; keep an accurate account of all monies received and expended; pay no bills without proper authorization by the club or its Executive Board. At each meeting he/she shall submit an itemized statement of disbursements and receipts.

 


 

Committee Duties:

  1. Low Down Editor regularly publishes our newsletter throughout the year. Publishes announcements as needed. Delegates the writing of articles when needed. Coordinates the printing and mailing of the Low Down.
  2. Field Day Chairs: Coordinates all Field Day activities for the site they're responsible for (combined site, Aloha site, Competitive site, etc.).
  3. Program Chairman: Provides or suggests programs, guests, and topics for our regular meetings - coordinating the guest's appearance and ensuring the availability of appropriate resources to ensure the presentation's success.
  4. Contest Coordinator: Plans, organizes, directs, and follows-up (awards, final scores, rankings, etc.) on all club contests and formal club participation in other contests outside of Field Day.
  5. Awards Chairman: Researches and recommends awards for club programs and contests. Obtains and distribute awards in addition to providing lists and announcement for award recipients.
  6. QSO Party Chairman: Researches and announces QSO parties of interest to the club.
  7. Elmer Coordinator: Works with all new members, newly licensed amateurs, and those wishing to become licensed with their study of the club, our hobby, and radio electronics theory and practices. Seeks the participation of other subject matter experts to assist with the training and guidance of the aforementioned.
  8. Technical Coordinator: Organizes and directs all club technical projects, interconnectivity issues, and internet issues not related to the website or listsevers.
  9. Station Trustee: Ensures licenses and call signs remain current and valid. Communicates with FCC and other authorities for all issues related to station licenses.
  10. Banquet Chairman: Plans, organizes, and directs annual banquet.
  11. Webmaster maintains and updates the Club website, ensures domain name and webhost services remain current.
  12. Database manager: Maintains database information on all past and current members (Does not release any personal information without that member's permission).
