Colorado Repeater Association A big "Thank You!" to the Colorado Repeater Association for the
use of their "machines" since our net was first formed in the early
1990s! We encourage all users to consider membership in the CRA.
The Colorado QRP Club's Monday night net still meets at 8:00 pm local but there is a NEW FREQUENCY!

In the Fall of 2017, after 35 years, the CRA's 147.225 machine was moved from its Conifer repeater site due to the construction of a new tower. Although 147.225 is up and running again (and can be accessed for our net) the Colorado QRP Club has decided to stay with the CRA's 145.460 machine
(107.2 Hz tone). Their 145.145 machine (107.2 Hz tone) is still the backup and not to be used as primary.

CQC Meeting
and Event Schedule

(all meetings take place on Saturday):
CQC Meeting - March 2017 For many years the offices of Morse Express has hosted our meetings. However, they've since moved to a new location so we're now holding meetings at various locations within the Arapahoe Library District - very nice facilities but they just aren't home!

So, the Colorado QRP Club is looking for a permanent location for our bimonthly meetings. The library works great but there's never a guarantee as to the availability of rooms and, like we mentioned above, "There's no place like home!"

Please contact search committee members KIØRB or WBØJNR if you have any ideas or suggestions about a semi-permanent meeting place that we can call home!

on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10:30 am
You don't have to be a member - everyone is welcome!

Meeting Location:
Koelbel Library (Arapahoe Libraries)
5995 South Holly Street, Centennial, CO 80121

AE7AX QRP Rig. Subject/Guest Speaker: Shel Radin (KFØUR) on FT8, the ham radio world's newest digital mode! FT8 has very quickly become a major player worldwide. Released just last June 2017, it allows us to make QSOs on most HF bands most of the time - despite poor conditions. Shel will show what it's all about and how easy it is to set it up and make QSOs.

(Our meetings usually end with an optional luncheon at a nearby
southeast Metro area restaurant for a lot of fun chat and food!)

Chat 'N Chew
Panera

Panera Bread, 12293 E Iliff Ave, Aurora, CO 80014 (located at the northeast corner of Iliff and Peoria)

Saturday lunch, 12:30 pm, February 10th, 2018

The Chat 'n Chew starts at 12:30 with occasional "talk-in" on the 145.460 (-600, 107.2 Hz tone) repeater or 146.520 FM Simplex (move off frequency, if needed, to avoid congestion). Click Here or on the Google logo, at right, for a map to our current dining place!

Remember, these informal Chat 'n Chew gatherings are for fun, fellowship, and some "Show 'n Tell" - no club biz, please!

Regular Meeting Information:

We're looking for a more permanent home for our regular
meetings So, let us know if you have any good location
suggestions! (We're currently meeting at various locations
of the Arapahoe Library system as rooms become avaialable)
Meetings normally begin at 10:30 am and last until about noon
with food, rig displays, and lots of fun!

Don't forget that you don't have to be a member
to attend CQC meetings -- bring a friend, and bring your
rigs and new projects. (Talk-in is available on the 145.460
[-600 KHz & 107.2 Hz Tone] repeater or 146.520 simplex - if needed,
move off frequency to avoid congestion).

Weekly 2 Meter Net:

Listen for WØCQC and the CQC Club Net on Monday evenings at 8 pm on the
Colorado Repeater Association's 145.460 (-600, 197.2 Hz tone) machine.

The 145.460 machine is accessible throughout most of the Denver Metro area,
including Boulder. There's also a 145.460 machine in Colorado Springs that allows
access to our Denver area net. Plus, in the Denver area, the 145.145 machine remains
the backup for any problems on the regular repeaters.

This is a REAL net, not just an announcement or check-net. Everybody gets to talk
about what they've been doing and it's always interesting and fun!

2 Meter "Watering Hole":
Denver area QRPers enjoy hanging around 146.520 MHz FM Simplex (moving off frequency, when needed, to avoid congestion)
for informal chatting and serious exchanges - You don't have to be a member and we ecnourage everyone to participate!
