The year of beams and dreams...

Our 2025 Field Day effort took place at NØCOT's Star Haven Observatory and IAAS research facility in Strasburg, Colorado - Thank you Jim and Judy Moravec!!   We operated 2A battery at 5 watts throughout the entire weekend. Antennas were primarily wires and verticals. We tried raising our tri-band beam on a small tower but it did a slow motion dive to the ground and broke a number of elements. Thankfully nobody was hurt (or even touched) by the fall!   Transcievers (KX3 and G90 from Jim Moravec and Vince Kumagai, respectively), batteries, cable, wire, verticals, keys and accessories were also provided by Jim, Vince, Dick, Roger and others onsite.   Delightful snacks and food provided by Judy throughout the weekend!!

• 208 CW QSOs for 416 points times 5 for battery QRP power equals 2080 points.
• 20 PH QSOs for 20 points times 5 for battery QRP power equals 100 points, giving the team 2180 QSO points.
• 2A battery, 750 bonus points for emergency power (2 xmtrs) 100, online submission 50, public location 100,
  media article 100, social media post 100, safety checklist 100, and site's responsibility checklist 100.
• Total: 2930 points
